The Team: Philip Kenchington
Philip started a sailing career aboard square rigged sailing ships and then spent many years as a professional yacht master working aboard large private yachts.
His next venture, with his brother, involved a new company that specialised in advanced structural monitoring. Delivering high technology solutions and services to control risk within rail, naval and nuclear sites. The company won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2003. More recently he has been monitoring the ‘Mary Rose’ during the construction of a new museum.
His background in sailing and information technology provides a breadth of skills which are relevant for the C-Fly project. Philip is now actively involved in operational support of the project and in securing funding.
